Latest news on the Covid-19 status for travellers coming to Iceland

Iceland Re-Opens

Iceland’s border will open up for all travelers on June 15th. The prime minister announced that travelers coming to Iceland have three options:

  1. Getting tested for COVID-19 upon arrival.
  2. Present a certificate from their home country that they have recently tested negative for COVID-19.
  3. Undergo 14-day quarantine upon arrival.

This means that you can start booking your dream trip to Iceland right now.

As of today, there are only 12 active infections in the country but almost 6.000 people have been tested since the beginning of May. Iceland is a safe destination, pure and friendly, with a population of just 330.000 and is one of the least populated nations on the planet, with just over 3 inhabitants per km2.
